    Interesting show Tim.

I can’t believe that the restaurant owners did that.

I mean c’mon “Call us and MAYBE you’l get some work today” ?
What about some respect for the employes? There no way that a person can plan their day or even life under conditions like that.

I also want to say that these kind of personal podcasts is really nice. It’s nice to listen to. Just as good, if not even better, than the interview-podcasts.

    Keep up the great work!

    Tim–

I LOVED this show. It was nice to hear you talk about yourself. It was really, really great and I look forward to more shows like this one in the future.

    Matt,

Thanks for the support Matt. Yeah, I think I’ll keep mixing it up. My life is a little crazy right now so I might as well talk about it.

    I’m with Matt. Great show.

One could do a lot worse than settling for love.

And as a 40ish Masshole, I TOTALLY got the snow day analogy.

Hah! I knew you would feel me on the snow day thing. Remember that? Thanks Tom. I hope to keep you posted on the chase for love.

    Tim,

Great show! This format works quite well, I feel like we’re sitting down having a cup of coffee sharing a story. Keep it up, podcasting is probably cheaper than an LA psychiatrist! Although now I know your secret about answering the cell phone.
Sox are up 11-3 right now!

  7. 7 NCN May 10th, 2006 at 2:24 am

    Wow…
The other “story-tellers” out there better watch out…
    Superior show…

I think we all enter that peculiar head space where we begin to realize that the life we thought we were going to lead does not resemble the life we are actually leading…

    Great, great, great cast.

    Tim,

Greg from RI here. I’ve been listening to you podcast for about 5 months now. Always entertaing, among the best out there. Count me among those who appreciate your creativity.

I laughed my ass off with this one. I completely understand you plight having been there in my early days as a struggling artist looking for validationa and financial reward.

I’m 46, have a great wife and kids, own my own business and still have many internal struggles. Life is fucking hard man! I once read a quote that we are all born in the gutter, it’s just that some of us are looking up. I try to look up as much as possible.

Keep up the good work and know that your podcasts are appreciated – now if you can just make some freakin’ money at it!

P.S. I own a branding and design firm so if you ever need any help in this area let me know, no charge, – really, happy to support you in any way that I can. Keep up the good work.

    Greg,

    That is brilliant!

“We are all born in the gutter, it’s just that some of us are looking up. I try to look up as much as possible.”

Thanks so much Greg. Honestly, I think I’ve discarded any thought of making money on this. It’s not why I started and thinking of my show as a product prevents me from taking risks with the show. I’ll take whatever comes my way but, for me, it can’t be about that. BUT, I may actually take you up on your generous offer. I’ll email you.

Thanks Greg! I’m glad I’ve got a friend in RI.

I’m still listening and liking your show… I’m really glad you decided to do this. I lost my job and my internet access, but ocassionally get to listen to podcast or two at the library. Thanks again for all you do to put this out there.

  13. 13 Tim Coyne May 16th, 2006 at 6:50 pm

    Brendan,

I am so glad you’re still out there. I often think about you. I hope all is well man. Considering your job situation, I bet you could feel my pain on this one. Please keep in touch.

  14. 14 DBD May 24th, 2006 at 4:58 pm

Fantastic show… what’s great about it, to me, is that you’re talking so specifically about yourself, but it could be any number of people I know in LA, plugging away. By putting yourself out there, I think it makes everybody else feel a little less nuts. I’m glad someone is out there doing it!

Man, between this and the last one, your show is really touching on some emotional terrain! And succeeding!

    Thanks for sharing…

  15. 15 Tim Coyne May 24th, 2006 at 6:22 pm

Thanks DBD! Much appreciated. Hey, love your 5/17/06 moon comic!

  16. 16 Gail May 29th, 2006 at 9:12 pm

    Ahhhh Tim…

I related to this podcast way too much dammit!

You spoke of wanting to leave your mark on the world.

    Hmmmm….

I like the interview shows, but I believe that it is through these personal podcasts that you ARE ALREADY making your mark.

I know that you want to be an actor, and I wish you all the luck in the world, but this podcast spoke to me in a way that tv and movies are rarely able to.

    Keep em coming,

    Gail

  17. 17 Tim Coyne May 29th, 2006 at 9:59 pm

I’m lovin’ you Gail! I really am enjoying these “unkempt” shows. There are more to come and I hope they continue to connect in some type of way. Keep in touch!

    Tim,

A pilates mat? No girl friend since 7th grade? Good God man, is this your Puritan ancestors reaching through the centuries and gripping your soul? You are allowed to pursue your artistic goals and enjoy life at the same time! It might even make you a better artist.

I can understand being broke. I just don’t understand not allowing yourself the simple pleasures of life. Life’s too short to skimp on them.

  19. 19 Tim Coyne May 31st, 2006 at 6:57 pm

Come on! I’ve had plenty of girlfriends since 7th grade - - that just happens to be my longest relationship. I agree with you though. Life is way too short so I’m concentrating on having more fun with the journey. Don’t give up on me yet. Thanks Beth!

    Tim

  20. 20 Beth B Jun 1st, 2006 at 1:29 pm

Give up? Never. I’m hooked on this podcast. I’ve added it to my official list.

  21. 21 Tim Coyne Jun 1st, 2006 at 3:53 pm

I was hoping you felt that way. Thanks Beth!
