    Mate, solid gold again.

Got a question. Do you see the Hot Chick at all?
Sub-question - Is she in the ad for Lincoln SUV’s - the hot Surfer Mum?

Try not to talk yourself out of liking a Chick too much Tim. There are always simple reason why people do or don’t do stuff.

I’ve just been watching 3 hours of a rich Heiress getting carted off to Jail - Why?
    I don’t know Tim, I don’t bloody know.

Any TV or movie parts in the pipeline?

I sat in the Kodak Theatre a month or so ago wearing a Tux with DeNiro and Penn.
8 hours of fake applause - after the 5th hour it became a bit tedious. But a buzz to have these blokes walking past all day.
“Shit, DeNiro and me in the same room!!”
Can I say that I “worked” with Robert DeNiro and Sean Penn? Whats the rule here mate?
Important for tales on the front porch with the Grandkids - you know.

    Cheers
    Andy.

HAVE YOU CAULKED THE TUB YET?!!!

Classic. Well told, Tim. Looking forward to PT. 2!

Yo Andrew! I love it! A meaty comment.

Do I see the “hot chick”?

Not recently but we text or talk occasionally. Personally, I want to talk to her all the time but I know better. My gut tells me she feels the same way but we’re trying to be fair to each other I think. She could easily be a “hot surfer mom” but that’s not her in the commercial.

I actually just landed a small role in a very big film. Already shot it even. Obviously I want to tell all the listeners but my instinct tells me to include within the context of a story instead of a plain old announcement or blog post. The movie is called “Crossing Over” and it’s starring Harrison Ford, Sean Penn, Ray Liotta, and Ashley Judd.

I’m going to say that I’ve worked with Sean Penn so I think you can as well. Go for it!!!

    Yo Norcal Steve!!!!

Thanks man! Part two is coming soon. I didn’t plan on a two parter but I ended up talking my brain off so I decided “What the hell. It’s my show. Make it a two parter.”.

Glad you liked it. More drama coming very soon.

    CAULK THE TUB!!!!!!

    Tim!

Congrats on the role! I had had a suspicion that you were up to something! I cannot wait to listen to the show. . . but its goin’ to have to wait till I get back from VN. Man. . . double congrats on the role!

    Peace,

    Paul

    Hey Paul!!!

VN? I feel like I should know what that is.

Can’t wait to catch up. Hope you’re doing great.

    Hi Tim,

That was one of your funniest Unkempt episodes. I laughed at your inner questioning throughout the dating processes. “No, I am not going to open her car door. I will open the door at the bar though”. “Uh oh, there’s no door here, just a curtain…” OMG that was funny. It also made me VERY glad I am not in the dating scene.

I had to wonder why after a year or so of asking your dad to “Caulk the shower”, that your mom didn’t just say “Fuel it. I’m doing it myself”.

WTG on getting the role in the movie! Yeah, we are going to want to hear all about working on it!

And for heaven’s sake, why are you afraid to talk to THC more? You over analyze this stuff way too much. You say you want to be fair, but what’s so fair about ignoring a friend?

Anyway, good show, and looking forward to Part 2.

    Beth,

Hi. Thanks so much. Good question about the “caulking.” It really represented something much bigger for my mother. In other words, “caulking” = helping out, being around, cleaning, cooking, not cheating on her, not cranking up the credit cards, not being a complete idiot. Funny. Eventually, post divorce, she had no choice but to say “Fuel it! I’ll HAVE to do it ALL myself.”

Yeah. The movie thing is great. Just trying to figure out a way to talk about it.

Re: THG. Being “fair” is as much for me as it is her. We do talk occasionally but I’m trying not to stir things up for her AND me. Still kinda tough.

    Thanks Beth.

    Tim

  8. 8 Daniel Jun 11th, 2007 at 3:37 pm

    Tim!
First of all, congrats on the role, doesn’t matter if it’s “just” a small role - a role is a role and it takes you in the right direction. Can’t wait to hear all about it.

    Beth:
“And for heaven’s sake, why are you afraid to talk to THC more?”
Haha somehow the first thing on my mind was the drug THC.

Good to hear from you again Tim - it means a lot in times like these. Thanks again for making my day better…
    All the best, Daniel

so i’ve already told you what i feel about your show, so now i just have to put in context. when I listen to your show, I always happen to be out and about, on my bike, walking, or taking the bus (as I have no car, just like you!!!) and your show is the only one that i laugh out loud with (when i’m in downtown la, not a good thing at all) i also walk around with this odd grin on my face. listening to this latest episode, at my yoga studio, had just gotten off my bike, sweating (kinda a bit warmer this week in la) and smiling and occasionally stifling giggles. my students thought i had lost it, seriously. thanks for the show. you should come to class sometime so that you can see how i weaved your experiences to yoga! btw, not only do i laugh, but you always have a way of somehow making me cry almost as much. i never know what’s gonna come out of your mouth. in this latest one, when you started to talk about your mom and dad and all that jazz….fantastic. took me somewhere i had no idea i was going to, that’s the mark of an artist.

ok, about Paul’s VN. he went to Vietnam with the GF. think VN is Vietnam. just a thought!

  11. 11 thehollywoodpodcast Jun 15th, 2007 at 9:58 pm

    Hi Elsie.

First - Yeah. I know Paul. Great guy! His girlfriend looks possibly Vietnamese so that was my guess as well but I didn’t want to assume. I think you are totally right. P and his GF went to VN. Love it!

Second - Can’t tell you how much your comments mean to me. I do my thing, put it out and hope that it connects in some way. So glad it connected with you.

Third - Okay. Seriously. I think YOU are finally going to get my ass into a yoga class. Maybe we should connect on email because I want to know where and when you teach. I think I’m finally going to jump in and see how it goes.

Finally - Love the twitters, videos . . . . ENERGY you’ve been putting out online. Just in the past week I feel that I know you so much better from reading your Twitter posts and learning about your life.

    Awesome!!

Hmm that Mulally song is stirring stuff. Perfect way to finish off the podcast too.

I think that paying for the girl’s meal is a kind of outdated concept too - it dates from when men earned more money. To me if the guy is paying it suggests that the girl is expected to ‘put out’ in return. I always open doors though. You NOT opening the door reminded me of that podcast where you have an audition and refuse to give another reading. “No, I’m all done now”. Still, it’s a minefield. Sometimes that can pay off.

Anyway, congrats on both parts of these podcasts, and also on this movie thing and the ‘Life of the Hollywood Podcast’ show you’re working on too. Seems to be a creative time, especially with the house move.

  13. 13 thehollywoodpodcast Jun 20th, 2007 at 8:48 am

Yeah man. How cool is that Mulally tune? Yeah. The door thing was a gut call. It wasn’t even my car so I felt like a teenager borrowing his Dad’s car. I felt a little needy so I was trying to balance it off by being aloof about the door. Thanks for listening Andrew.

  14. 14 Harold Jun 20th, 2007 at 9:24 am

Glorious; I’m about halfway through your tale, and I’m lovin’ it, Tim.

  15. 15 Harold Jun 20th, 2007 at 9:45 am

My girlfriend assumed I was handy when she met me; she’s since realized otherwise.

  16. 16 thehollywoodpodcast Jun 20th, 2007 at 9:45 am

Thanks so much Harold. Brace yourself for part two.

  17. 17 thehollywoodpodcast Jun 20th, 2007 at 9:50 am

Yo Harold. Guy = Handy. Don’t you know that?

    Tim

  18. 18 Harold Jun 20th, 2007 at 9:59 am

You rock, Tim. Rock. It. Straight. Gay. Whatever. (Folks will have to listen to this episode to find out what I’m referring to.) I haven’t been able to sit through anybody’s podcast in quite some time; yours grabbed ahold of my unsettled mind, slammed me down on my couch (bed , really, but it’s also my couch), and wouldn’t let go until I’d listened to every last note of your composition.

  19. 19 thehollywoodpodcast Jun 20th, 2007 at 10:27 am

    Wow!

Your comment blows me away. Thank you.

PS - My bed is my couch also. Feelin’ ya.
