Hey Tim,
What’s up with your live show? We’ve tried to make a reservation, like the site says is required, but the M Bar tells us its not. It’s just first come. And they’re telling you will perform at 10, while the website says 8. The site is a little confused anyway, because they’re speaking about thuesday the 8th. And we think it’s thuesday the 6th or thursday the 8th…
So… We’d really like to see you live! We have listened to you in Holland and we are now here in LA for a 3 week vacation. But, what date, day and time will you perform? Hope you can help us out. Thx a lot and looking forward meeting you?!

Tim,
I'm inthe middle of my third listen to "The Mirage". Excellent episode! A lot to internalize.
First let me do a "fact check", hardly important, but a correction. I believe the used "Brat" did not come with the back seats in the "payload" back section. I went to Burlington Auto Parts in Lunenberg and found a pair of the seats and brought them to you and somehow they got installed. The danger of those eluded us all at the time, no seatbelts or were there?.....don't remember. Those made the old "suicide knob" look tame.
You were great in "Secret Garden", stayed at a bed and breakfast and slept or didn't sleep on a rock hard mattress rather than ride back that night, as well as others I went to see, "Hello Dolly" and was it "Damn Yankees" in Newton?
Anyway, I certainly learned a lot about your teenage years that I couldn't have been aware of due to my reluctant and unhappy departure from the family and having my "own place" away from my family. It sucked. One was what was called back then a "rental share". I applied for one place that would have made me a caretaker for a multi-paraplegic for a cut in rent. Good thing I didn't have a sharp object on me after leaving that interview.
And what about the "Cotuit Kettlers"? I went to see you down the Cape too. A movie with Drew Barrymore was eventually made based on that Cape Cod league. I was hoping you might have gotten a gig as a techical advisor in that or even a role.
As you say, the dream is long gone for me although 1967 should have brought me a major country hit but too many people fucked it up....the Label, MGM, production mixes, infighting at the label, promotion and more. (You're Driving Me To) "Someone Elses Arms" had everything for a country hit. I don't look back deluded on this viewpoint. It just DID!
You shouldn't give up though. Persevere or as my aunt used to say in her coined word,
"sticktoitiveness" will prevail.
TTFN
DAD
PS. Glad to hear you have a car.

Harold. Yeah. There's no way those seats were safe. I'm surprised I didn't kill any of my friends in that thing. Ahhhh. The Brat.

I used to visit my cousins every summer when I was a kid. One day my uncle piled us into his Subaru Brat and then headed us into the dirt roads and hills somewhere out in San Diego County. Who knows, maybe we were crossing the border into Mexico...

It was a thrilling ride, sitting in those rear-facing seats, which seemed so plastic and frail to me. They screamed "dangerous" to my mind, even so young. They portended ejection: I was in an Air Force fighter plane, ready to be ejected at the first sign of trouble. So scary and oh so much fun.

Tim,
been a while. Your storytelling rhythm is so smooth, convincing and full of "feel". Gotta have the "feel". For me highlights were "specificity" and the vaccum. Keep it up. Oh, and get new representation and have them get you on House ;-)

Nice job man, way to open up. It was a fantastic episode that I think many people can relate to on some level or another. I know I certainly can.

As for your mum's vacuum call - a great one! There's nothing worse than having to shell out a couple of hundred bucks for a freakin' vacuum.

Keep the faith in yourself dude. Remember that success can be measured in many ways. Our connecting has already been proof of that.

Peace
Dave
