Yeah, fuck the fucking blueberries, they’re retarded anyway.
Another moving and generous podcast.I hope that it is helpful for you to express these feelings and experences,as it is for us listening them. You are so brave and courageous.I commend you for sharing alot of what you been through.I feel as if I’m on the journey with you.Keep up the good work.Stay strong.FUCK THE BLUE BERRIES!
Your last two episodes are at the top. First we are treated with an amazing interview (even acknowledged on the BBC) and this introspective gem. I think Jessica missed the point about your comments on the Hot Chick, maybe it is just a guy thing and how we come to love a woman. There’s a polish film called “A Short Film About Love” that kinda hits on this. The take home message being that we tend to love things that are distant from us. Anywise - thank you for the great last two episodes - and for maintaining an awesome podcast!
Awesome. You rock it constantly!
Thanks JK.
Anthony - Thanks so much for taking the time to check in. Much appreciated.
Yo P-Diddy - I’m going to try to track down “A Short Film About Love”. Thanks so much for the compliments.
Grant - Hey man. Thanks. Can’t wait to re-connect in Vegas.
This is probably in my top three of THP episodes of all time… Whenever I hit a similar snag (and I’m certain I will), I’ll just call it my ‘muffin moment’…
Hey Man
Another great cast. I really dug the identity crisis theme… But as you said, I said: “Big things are going to happen for you soon.” Sit back and enjoy the (car) ride.
Cheers,
–Lance
The identity angst is something I’ve had to cope with from time to time going through different phases in life and I found your tale very engrossing. But stay the hell away from my blueberries.
Juho - Wow! Major compliment. I love that - “muffin moment”. Thanks so much Juho.
Lance - hey “buddy”. Thanks for our support buddy.
Yvonne - Thanks so much.
Skettle–LOL. The scooter is not for the poor anymore…have you been to Boston? EVERYONE has a scooter here. But alas, it’s not LA—where as Carrie Bradshaw laments, “the CAR in LA is equivalent to the Purse in NY, got have a Ferrari.”
Love your podcast
Hey Dude
She will come !
Great cast (like always). Hang in there. I find my Dream Woman with 36 and i’m married now
Love your Show. Martin from switzerland
Thanks Skyle. I’m from Boston. Maybe I should move back and rock out on the scooter.
Martin - Great to hear from you buddy. Nice to get some love from Switzerland.
Solid gold, Tim. Solid.
You’re always quality, my friend. I’ve been listening to a song recently that I think would speak volumes to you:
“Older” by Colbie Caillat

Thanks Eli.
Hey Ron. Checked out the tune. Very cool.
Hey I think I finally picked up on the rough/ unfinished theme running through this podcast. I.e. with the scooter and the muffin. Before hearing this I would never have thought that i’d be so engrossed with a story about a friggan muffin. Congrats man.
Tim,
I have just started listening to your podcast and I just finished this episode.
I did the hollywood tango years ago. Only I was a cinematographer/writer. Got very close the the alter of fame and fortune once. very close.
I find myself reflecting back on those times. The uphill battle for work. Working on low budget paycheck movies. Sucking it up and watching no talented people fly past me because of who they know and not because of their talent. I was bitter then, but now, I’m older, wiser and wish I had this wisdom back then.
A friend once told me what L.A./Hollywood was to him. It was a prostitute. One goes in, gets what you can for the short time we are all alotted to become famous and then you get out. I agreed with him to an extent. It is that but it’s how much your personal stock rises as well and as a result the types of “prostitutes” get better. It’s about image, it’s about who one knows, it’s also about how well you know yourself.
Love in Hollywood, now that’s a different metaphore. I equate it to being a diamond miner in South Africa. You are down 3 miles in a hot, dark shaft, sweaty bodies bumping into each other while you all break your ass trying to find that diamond. When you are young and strong you want the best and brightest one with no flaws. As one gets older, you will see that there are very few of those and you will be happy with any diamond. Until you realize that the flawed diamonds are actually the best. I finally left Hollywood only to find my Diamond elsewhere.
It’s a rough road out there. I congradulate anyone that can make it, let alone become a “somebody”.
I honestly wish you so much luck, because I really do know how difficult it can be out there.
My days of film are past me now. I wax wimsically from time to time about what would have happened if I stayed. Meh, If I stayed, I wouldn’t be with the one I love now.
All paths are varied. There is no straight one in the land of the Hollywood.
Peace, man, peace.
