Hey EB.

The more "effs" I get from you, the better. Really glad you enjoyed it.

Re: the Blueberry Corn Muffins. Yeah. You'll probably have to listen to "The Muffin" to know what the significance is.

You're the best.

Hi Lily. Thank you so much! I'm happy to be a part of your casserole-making night:)

I haven't seen "Somewhere in Time" yet. I obviously need to asap. Interesting re: your uncle.

Hey Tim,
That was perfect, absolutely perfect. You turned a pleasant evening of casserole-making into a wonderful surprise. You're so F-ING talented, dude!

Oh, and your dad's right about 'Somewhere in Time.' Have you watched it yet? My uncle used to watch it at least once a month, I hear, and he'd cry every time. Not sure what that was all about. Probably more than I'll ever know.

my dearest tim,
i've waited months to listen to "the fire"...i didn't know if i could stomach what i might hear...
what i heard is possibly the most beautifully crafted "story", a novel in 45 exquisite minutes, that i have ever heard...

you have grown so much as a person and an artist. your observations, reflections, introspections and growing self knowledge are inspiring.

i was with you in the rain, feeling your heart pounding, feeling the anticipation, embracing the moment...i am so glad you got to live it...

i am so in awe of you, proud of you, and again reminded why i fell in love with you...

and my stomach is fine...

Graham - I just ordered PAST MORTEM from Amazon. Great to hear from you and thank you!

Juho - Thanks so much. Great to hear from you. Good question.

I'm hesitant to expound on storytelling since I'm always scared that I won't be able to come up with anything interesting ever again. I have tons of thoughts on this topic but there are two questions that come to my mind often when putting together an Unkempt.

"Why now?"
"Then what?"

Superb episode again, Tim. Great storytelling. Speaking of which... what do you think makes great storytelling? Is it the transparency and authenticity, or something else entirely...

That was superb, great story telling. You need to read a book by Ben Elton called Past Mortem, about these folk who are in a Friends' Reunited group and start to get 'bumped off!'

I have it on audiobook, pretty clever!

Cheers,

Coyner,

"The Fire" was another great podcast. Your honesty in regards to how long does your friend stay before enough is enough, was powerful. You are able to capture the truth of human emotion and all of it's depth with amazing ability. I do believe that in both "The Jester Card" and "The Fire", I laughed hysterically and also reflected upon my own strengths and weaknesses in my relationships. You have an incredible gift of story telling/memories sharing. And a great ass.

Tim,
I just listened to your #30 "The Fire". Great podcast!! Very insightful. And by the way, I don't know how you count 6 cousins especially with my being an only child....you with no Uncles. I can only think of Brian and Kelly W. Oh, sorry, Robbie's sons. I forgot about them.
I wonder now what that picture of your mother and me in happy days is all about...where, when, how old? I'd love to see it. Sorry to repeat but I have no pictures and you know why.
Back to the podcast. Very touching ending and nicely done.
Although what I'm about to say is not really similar to any of the preceding, an old movie came to mind....."Somewhere in Time", starring Christopher Reeve, Jane Seymour, and Christopher Plummer. The old woman at the beginning of the movie approaches the Reeve character, Richard Collyer, at a book signing gathering of his and whispers in his ear, "Come back to me". The story rather touchingly goes on from there. Decent movie with a large loyal fan cult or following.

I was trying to figure out what sort of gift she was going to give you, an old picture, a mixtape....I fucking love that she hooked you up with blueberry muffins! My only question is whether or not they met your high standard? See both you and Mark back at PAB09!

It's interesting how the muffins have played a large part in the last few episodes. Is almost to perfect how life plays out. I mean how all these small things weave together constantly (gives the impression that fate actually exists). Does she listen to the podcast, perhaps?

Thanks everybody for taking the time to leave a comment. Much appreciated.

Shane/Brent - Thanks guys.

Mark - So glad we met as well. I can't wait to reconnect in Kingston.

Martin - No "next morning" show brotha. Sorry. Gonna have to create that one on your own;)

Ben - That's hilarious that your nemesis is trying to friend you. Hey. Maybe you're right. Time to forgive . . . Maybe.

Hey Marga - I'm glad Mauricio finally wore you down and that you actually made it through a few episodes. I hope you stick around.

Coyne out.

Hi Tim,

My husband Mauricio told me about this podcast. He is a fan of your work and he is always trying to get me to listen to all of them... not a big fan of podcasts lately I have to admit... but I did listen to the one about the muffins because it was so funny to hear about someone that my husband really connects to talk about something that he is always obsessing about "blueberry cornmeal muffins". Anyway, I just wanted to let you know that this is the 4th time I listen to the whole thing, this podcast its just AMAZING, so human, so real. Something that we all somehow can relate to. I thank you for sharing this.

Nice....really amazing Tim. I see what you mean about facebook. I kinda hate it. Even my old arch nemesis/bully from high school is on there and tried to friend me. I still haven't done it yet cause the pain is still felt from that guy, but maybe it's time to forgive. GRRRR....
