Never cease to be amazing stories.
Joy, Ease, and Lightness,
Hey Brent.
Thanks so much. Very much appreciated.
although you will be hearing from me any minute, let it be known – publicly – that this is exactly why i’m a part of this project.
here’s to another chapter…
Just finished listening. Wow, so many things I want to say. I’m still processing it but I think first I’ll say…
thank you.
This story hit me like no other Unkempt. Many parallels in my life. While listening to you tell the story I felt like you were walking a fine line between keeping it together and going to the dark side. Just my take, maybe reading too much into it but I definitely enjoyed this ride.
I will check out the audiobook, I’ve heard good things.
Thanks again Tim and congratulations on the amazing things you share.
Harrowing, moving episode, Mr. Gibbells. Tim, have you ever read the Unbearable Lightness of Being? This episode reminded me of it with your dueling lightness and cursed heaviness. Remember, too, that sometimes “The heavier the burden, the closer our lives come to the earth, the more real and truthful they become.”
Loving your stories. Unkempt keeps me thrilled and laughing and scared. Can’t wait to see what you and Janean are cooking up.
love from another ex-Masshole,
My goodness. I listened to this late at night and felt like I was having a heart attack myself.
Every UNKEMPT has been great but this one.. don’t even know what to say. If this were turned into a movie, it’d take Dustin Hoffman in the lead, and directed by.. I don’t know, Abel Ferrara?
You continue to surprise, sir.
Bravo, double congrats,
Tim Coyne is even better then Tim Howard!
I am happy for the conclusions you ve came to, it s what I was trying to tell you with my blueberry land provocations. I ll tell some more in the back stage.
Great show, this one is going to be send to everyone in my mail list again,
wishing you all the best,
sincerely, 34
p.s.
I ve decided to keep the name, I am not changing it into 35, cause that was the number that brought me to your page at first place and this I find a precious coincidence
Janean – Gotta keep impressing you. I don’t want to work with anyone but you on the book.
Mau – Thank you so much. You’re right. This one was a tough one. I was hoping it would connect with some.
Mike – Mr. Ex-Masshole;) Haven’t read ULB but I’m intrigued. Thanks so much Mike.
Juho – Glad you’re still out there brotha. Dustin Hoffman in the lead? What about me?
34 – Finally! Right? So glad you liked it and thanks for pimping it to your friends.
This made me want to do nothing but hug you and cry. I can’t say anything more than that. I hope your now becomes wonderful:)
Heh, Tim you got me there.
Maybe having anyone else play you would be like, say, having George Hamilton play Bob Evans. Not quite the same.
“Give me one for Osmosis Jones!”
You have done it again TC. Amazing, amazing, amazing! So proud of you for sharing this story. You know where I stand on the secret stash, never leave home without mine. Your stories always make me smile and cry. Love listening you to share your life. You bring joy, ease and lightness to my life just by being you!
JT-
xo
captivating as always; you’re mastering the skill of pausing/silences. best of luck in getting where you want to be.
Brandi – My mom said the same thing. I tell you what I told her. “Don’t worry. I’m fine.” But I never turn down a hug;)
Juho –
Lance Anderson – Not many people have said that line.
JT – Thanks so much. Great to hear from you.
Firas – You too. Awesome to hear from you brotha. We’ve been in contact for quite a while now. Much has happened in that time;)
Geez, Tim. Not sure what to say to this. Thanks, I guess. You know we love you though, right? Hope you are able to get some joy out of everybody’s responses.
Great job man!
Keep your chin up slugger.
D
I always have medication within arms length too, but it’s green and herbal.
Absolutely loved this. But that’s no surprise. I always love listening to your life, your observations and experiences. I always feel better afterwards. Always.
Roy Meets Gibbles.
Great episode – listened on the way to work and arrived verklempt. I’m going to make a bracelet with “WWTD” on it (What Would Tim Do?).
Coyner,
Another great episode. Real gut-wrencher. I’m glad to hear you’re working things out.
We need to form a club comprised of former paperboys/grocery store workers who have seen “Osmosis Jones” in a theater. I saw it up in Keene, NH, that summer.
Jay
Cheers Tim! It took a lot of courage to tell that story. Thanks, for inspiring me, to be a better man! Most men don’t deal with personal, or psychological, issues well,we’re to macho! I see that life,is a inside job! It begins and ends with you,and how much value, you have for yourself. I’m glad Tim, that you had the courage,to embrace personal responsibility! Like a Tattoo, this episode will stay with me forever!
Sebastian – Hey man. I’m not sure what to say either. I can tell you this. It’s great to hear from you (as always) and I’m feeling good. JEL.
Dave – Thanks so much Dave.
Buffy – Mr. Gibbles appreciates hearing from you. Green? Herbal? Hmmm;)
Scott – WWTD. Love it. Thanks so much Scott. So great to have stayed connected with you.
Jay – That is so awesome – a fellow paperboy, grocery boy, and Osmosis Jones watcher. Thanks Jay.
Anthony – So glad the episode connected with you. Always great to hear from you Anthony. Really appreciate the support.
Hey Tim, Don’t come to your site very much these days, but I thought I stop by. I listened to this last one when the Tatiana and baby Winter were out of town. Thanks for sharing your stories and talents.
Take Care.
Hey Bill.
Great to hear from you. It’s been so long. Miss you and Tat (and Winter of course). Think about you both often.
Tim
This comment is for those who come late to the Unkempt game (like I did). This was my intro to the series and it blew my mind. If this is your first episode, do yourself a favor and go back to the beginning of Unkempt. I’m working my way through all of the episodes and can’t get enough. It’s great to hear how the story develops and grows along with the style of each show. Great work, Tim!
ps. I want one of those WWTD bracelets.
Hey Jason.
Thanks so much for taking the time to comment AND for the “Jason from PA” endorsement.
Tim
ps – no bracelets planned;)
Tim,
I listened to your latest, “TATTOO”. Very poignant and also very courageous of you to embark on such a one hour journey into privacies in your life. I spend so much time on the computer doing my Broker Price Opinions, with a continuing back discomfort of varying degrees, that I dont get to visit your
website as much as I should or would like to.
I couldn’t help but recall frightening claustrophobic episode when I worked for Boston comedy impresario Dick Doherty….setting up seats for a basement comedy performance in Quincy that I had booked for his company. The small windowless closet that contained stacks of chairs had a faulty door handle from the inside….door closed, I could not open…bartender setting up at end of room was not aware due to earshot… became hardly helpful till he finally understood my panic, then told me He didn’t think a key existed. After one hour of terror and pleas to get me out someone came and rescued me. A horrifying experience for me. Perhaps a panic attack, I don’t know, after my last colonoscopy, a rather calm and sedated experience I thought, my heart began hitting high abnormal peaks on the connected cardiograph with some minor chest heaviness also. Not a heart attack but scared the shit out of me. Fears that I lived with and dealt with when young exacerbated as I got older. I never thought of them as panic attacks. Maybe they were, maybe they weren’t. I’ll never know.
Thanks for pouring out your soul in TATTOO.
Love
DAD
Thanks for listening, Dad.
Yes. You’ve told me that story about being locked in the closet. Not fun.
By the way, you’d know if it was a panic attack. Trust me.
Tim
It’s time!
It’s time!
It’s time for a new Unkempt.
Yes Tim, I didn’t mean to equate that to a panic attack as such. The latter may be beyond my understanding and I’m sure it is but I wanted to do my best to give my closest shot at understanding it. Only your story can make one have a feeling for what you feel after the onset of the fact that its on its way and stopping the panic is truly scary. My heart goes out to you in those unavoidable moments that will soon
follow. My love goes to you and I wish you well every day of your life.
DAD
Thanks Dad.
Much appreciated.
Tim
